Hello DanielGMac,
Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you want to use the Maps app in OS X Mavericks to plan a route and then send that to your iPhone for your journey. To be able to do this, you would need place pins in each of your 6 stops in the Maps app on your Mac and here is more info:

Choose View > Drop Pin to mark your spot on the current map. You can use these pins to help you remember places or plan your journey. You can also use them to mark a destination you want directions for. If a pin isn't exactly where you want it, put the pointer on it and hold down the button until the pin 'hops.' Drag the pin into place, then release the button. To see additional options for a location, click the pin and then click the info (i) button in the menu that appears.

Once you have placed your pins and your route is planned, then share this to your iPhone using one of these methods:

Present a menu to select devices and services to share Maps data with. You can even share a map to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch. iOS devices set to use the same iCloud account as your Mac user account appear at the top of the share list. When selected, Maps data that includes directions is sent to your iOS device as a notification. This is a convent way to look up directions on your Mac, then quickly send them to your iPhone for turn-by-turn directions.

Use the Maps app to help find your destination
